Kansas is regularly at or near the top of the country for hail claims, and Wichita is in the middle of it. Spring and early summer bring the big storms, but hail here can show up from March through October. Add hard freezes and ice in winter, high straight-line winds year-round, and long hot summers, and a Wichita roof takes more punishment in ten years than most roofs take in twenty.
The damage we see most: hail bruising across whole slopes after a single storm, wind creasing on the south and west faces, and failed seals on older three-tab shingles. A lot of Wichita roofs have already been replaced once after a past storm and are due again; a lot of the newer subdivisions on the edges of the city are hitting their first real claim.

It depends on roof size, pitch, how many layers come off, decking condition, and the shingle you choose. We put all of it in a written estimate after the free inspection. With a hail claim, your cost is usually your deductible plus any upgrades you choose, like Class 4 shingles.
